Ray Guerra
Ray Guerra has been the Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Outreach at Galena Bible Church since January 2023. In his role, he writes the church’s Sunday School (Family Bible Hour) curriculum, preaches occasionally, teaches Bible studies, leads the Life Group ministries, and oversees outreach efforts. As a native Spanish speaker, Ray is especially excited about leading the church’s growing Hispanic ministry, which seeks to share the love of Christ with Spanish-speaking individuals and families in the area.
Ray earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and Music Education from Emmaus University, a Master’s of Education with a focus on Instructional Design and Technology from Liberty University, and a Master’s in Theological Studies with an emphasis in Biblical Counseling from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also co-hosts Teología Pública, a Spanish theology podcast that serves the Spanish-speaking church.
Ray is passionate about seeing God transform lives through The Word and helping the church stand as a beacon of truth in the community. Married to Laura since 2015, Ray is the proud father of three children: Luisa, Holly, and Javier. When he’s not ministering, you can find him playing with his kids, reading, or creating music.
