God can work in amazing ways as men can get away and be under God's Word together, for a more extended period of time. Relationships can be formed and strengthened. Sometimes God might really get a hold of our hearts in a special way at a retreat and sometimes men can come to know the Lord!
Men, we need God. We need each other. We need times like this to grow and be equipped to live a more Christ-honoring life.
We will leave GBC at 5 PM sharp, and have pizza at the camp as soon as we get there. We will return in time for the 10:30 AM service on Sunday, where our speaker will give his final message.
Conference Point is a beautiful Christian camp, right on Lake Geneva, about 2.5 hours away. We'll be staying in various cottages (linen provided), and gathering in a large conference room.
All meals will be provided for us. Saturday afternoon will be completely free to enjoy any of the amenities of the camp, especially hiking (an awesome path along the lake that goes for miles) and places to see in town. Some guys might be more up for a game of Euchre or Scrabble, or just a long, rare nap!

By popular demand, our speaker from the last two years, Pastor Ed Moore, will be! Ed has pastored North Shore Baptist Church in Queens, New York -- a multi-ethnic congregation -- for the past 30 years. He is a gifted and committed expository preacher and has a huge heart for men. Ed and his wife, Anna, hope to retire to Galena in the future. "Christ Our Mediator -- Prophet, Priest, King". Nothing can lift our spirits more than getting a fresh view of just how glorious our Lord is!
